1. Great Wall, China
The Great Wall of China began construction in the 7th century BC and continued for two millennia. The most famous is the construction of a section of the wall in 220-206 BC by Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. The Great Wall of China was built with the original purpose of protecting the country from attack. It is estimated that the length of this Chinese national symbol reaches 20,000 km.

4. The Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt
The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest pyramid in the Giza pyramid complex bordering the City of Giza, Greater Cairo, Egypt. According to National Geographic, the Great Pyramid was founded around 2560 BC on the west bank of the Nile. This Great Pyramid serves as the tomb of the fourth-century pharaoh Khufu otherwise known as Cheops. While the other pyramids are tombs for Khafra (Chephren) and Menkaura (Mycerimus). The building of the Great Pyramid is believed to have taken 20 years and as many as 100,000 workers to complete. According to History, the Great Pyramid reached a height of 479 feet (146 meters) with a base of 754 feet (230 meters) erected on 13 hectares of land. The pyramid is believed to contain more than two million stone blocks weighing up to two to 30 tons each. Remarkably, the pyramid is almost symmetrical in shape and was built without the help of modern tools. So, how did the Egyptians build the pyramids? Scientists believe that the Egyptians used wooden rollers and sledgehammers to move stones into place. The walls of the pyramids are made slanted which is intended to imitate the rays of Ra, the sun god. Inside the pyramid, there are narrow corridors and hidden chambers aimed at thwarting grave robbers. Archaeologists managed to find some great treasures in the ruins of the pyramids. However, they believe most of the treasure in the pyramid was looted within 250 years of its completion. The Great Pyramid of Giza is such an amazing testament to the science of mathematics and construction that it has been named one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
5. Tower of Pisa, Italy
Seeing the picture above, of course, you are entertained by yourself, right because of the sloping shape of the building? The Tower of Pisa is unique because its shape, built from the start, was never upright.
Reportedly, the architect of this tower was Bonano Pisano who later disappeared because he felt he had failed to build. Then, the construction of this tower was tried to be continued by the next architect, namely Giovanni di Simone who also failed because it made the tower of Pisa have a higher side than the other side.
6.Borobudur Temple, Indonesia
Although his name is not included in the latest 7 wonders of the world, the splendor and majesty of Borobudur Temple are still imprinted in this building.
Launching the Borobudur Park page, Borobudur Temple is a historical building left by the Syailendra Dynasty in 780-840 AD. The temple which is a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site is also the most significant Buddhist heritage in the world.
As a place of worship of Buddha and a place for pilgrimage, Borobudur is used for mankind to seek guidance, enlightenment, and wisdom according to Buddha, to avoid the lusts of the world. Until now this temple building is still used to commemorate the Trisuci Vesak.
7. Eiffel Tower, France
The Eiffel Tower is a landmark of the City of Paris, France. This tower is considered a technological masterpiece that has ever existed in the history of the construction of a building.
Gustava Eiffel is the person who conceptualized the tower which has a height of about 300 meters. The Eiffel Tower is twice the height of the St. Peter's Basilica or the Pyramids of Giza.
Eiffel was designed to be a building that has a light, spacious, and open structure but is sturdy at the same time. The Eiffel Tower was first opened to the public on May 15, 1889.
8. Ka'bah, Saudi Arabia
Of course, we know one of the buildings of the seven wonders of the old world on this one. Kaaba is located in the city of Mecca and is a sacred building in Islam and Muslims across the globe.
The Kaaba is in the middle of the Grand Mosque and is the direction that Muslims face when praying. Kaaba in Arabic means cube. This sacred building is indeed square and wrapped in silk and cotton lining. Muslims believe that the Kaaba was built by Prophet Ibrahim and his son Prophet Ismail.
